About Fulton
Located along Highway 101, about halfway between the cities of Santa Rosa and Healdsburg, Fulton is in the central region of Sonoma County. Because of its easy accessibility from a major highway, the town attracts visitors who are making their way through the county, enjoying the tasting rooms at local wineries, the towering redwoods in the pretty state parks, and the nearby rugged Pacific coastline.
Just 65 miles from San Francisco, this is the heart of Sonoma wine country. From Fulton, you can explore the Alexander Valley, Russian River Valley, and Dry Creek, where you'll find a diverse selection of established and new, small and large vineyards, offering excellent varietals including award-winning pinot noirs and chardonnays. No matter which direction you drive, you'll find a winery at every bend in the road.
Fulton activities might also include a drive to one of the nearby parks including Austin Creek Recreation Area and Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve, where guests can explore grassy hillsides, tree-lined ravines, and mountaintops that overlook the mighty Pacific and the rugged shoreline of Northern California. The wildlife in these parks is rich and diverse and nature enthusiasts will love this area. Trails offer plenty of room for cyclists, hikers, and horseback riders. Campsites are also available.
If you enjoy the arts, both Healdsburg and Santa Rosa offer plenty of galleries, venues for concerts and other musical events, and a number of annual festivals centering on culture and the arts.
Fulton restaurants are not abundant so most people travel to nearby towns to grab a meal. Same goes for Fulton lodging, however, a diverse selection can be found in Santa Rosa or Healdsburg.
