About Vineburg

Vineburg is a tiny unincorporated community located in the famous Sonoma Valley just two miles away from the town of Sonoma. The town is also within easy driving distance of the equally famous Napa Valley. This makes it a wonderful place from which to explore the award-wining vineyards and wineries of both Sonoma and Napa. Of particular note is the Hospitality de Los Carneros, a collection of 25 wineries in the Carneros Appellation. These small Napa and Sonoma vineyards and wineries organize two annual events showcasing their unique vintages. In the spring, the organization hosts “April in Carneros” and in the winter it hosts Holiday in Carneros. Instead of conducting all of the tasting in one big room, the event allows wine lovers to visit a variety of wineries where they can enjoy special tastings, food and wine pairings, live music and art shows. The events are laidback and the lack of crowds allows winery staff time to give personalized attention to each visitor. Proceeds from the admissions support the Napa Valley Junior College.

In addition to its abundance of local vineyards and wineries, Vineburg is also close to some of Sonoma County’s best regional parks. The Sonoma State Historic Park and Jack London State Historic Park not only provide some excellent hiking and biking paths, but they are fun places to visit to gain some insight into California’s history.
