About Temelec


Temelec is a small census-designated place (CDC) in Sonoma County located about 60 miles from both San Francisco and Sacramento. It is also an easy drive to the nearby towns of Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Napa and Boyes Hot Springs. Its central location in the heart of wine country makes Temelec a great place from which to explore the area’s offerings. Although there are more lodging options, restaurants and amenities in the larger nearby towns, Temelec offers visitors a chance to experience Sonoma County’s beauty away from the crowds.

Sonoma Valley and Napa Valley are home to some of the most famous vineyards and wineries in California. Temelec’s proximity to both allows visitors easy access to a seemingly endless supply of wineries to explore. The CDC is also close to the area’s hot springs. Temelec Facts


Located in the wine-rich Sonoma Valley, Temelec is a friendly small town which is close to many California historical sights and fun recreational activities.

The Temelec Hall was built by Bear Flag Party member Captain Granville P Swift in 1858. The building is a designated California Historical Landmark. Only eight households out of 960 have children under 18-years-old living in them. Telemec covers an area of 1.6 square miles, all of which is land.
