About Annapolis
Annapolis is a small coastal town in Sonoma County located near Healdsburg and the Russian River Valley. Its small size often means that tourists bypass it for some of the county’s larger and more well-known towns. Annapolis is worth a stop, however, even if it is just to take in the stunning views of the Pacific coastline just a couple of miles outside of town. Once there, it is worth visiting the town’s winery called Annapolis Winery. Located 1,000 miles above sea level, the establishment affords visitors yet another incredible view of the ruggedly stunning coast. The family-owned winery does not produce much wine, but its bottles are the result of much personal care and offer a taste that is the essence of Sonoma’s northern coast.
Its proximity to the coast not only provides visitors to Annapolis with stunning views, but also a lot of opportunities for water adventures. Sea kayaking, fishing, boating and lounging at the beach are only a few of many activities available. For land-based adventures, visitors can make the easy drive to For Ross State Historic Park and Rhododendron State Reserve. Of, for the more culturally-inclined, nearby Healdsburg has a large concentration of art galleries to explore.
